Tom Albertson

Tom Albertson, Superintendent of Lake Pend Oreille School District, has been an educator for the last 32 years, all in the Lake Pend Oreille school District. This includes 22 years as a mathematics teacher, three years as activities director, two years as assistant principal, and five years as principal, all at Sandpoint High School. Tom was born in Sandpoint, Idaho attended school at Northside Elementary and Sandpoint High School, graduating in 1982. His post-secondary degrees were earned from the University of Idaho including a B.S. in Secondary Education, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and an ED.S. in Educational leadership. Outside of his education profession, Tom lives on a family operated cattle ranch with his wife Cindy, which was established by his grandfather in 1916. Tom and Cindy, who is a retired elementary school teacher and high school counselor, have two sons and six grandchildren.
