Patty Staglund grew up in Iowa and received her BA in Marketing and Finance from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. After college, she was Director of Marketing in the insurance and computer software industries. Patty and her family moved to Sandpoint in 1994. She is involved in the Sandpoint community and the schools in the Lake Pend Oreille School District through volunteering, fundraising, and freelance marketing. Throughout the years, her commitment to the community has motivated her involvement in the 101 Women Organization, First Lutheran Church, Luther Park Senior Housing, Women Honoring Women, and numerous other organizations. A lot of her attention has always been focused on her three sons who are graduates of Sandpoint High School. Participating in planning the PAFE Gala each year has also been a highlight of her board involvement.
