Kelli was born and raised in a small town near the base of Mt. St. Helens called Castle Rock, WA. She attended Toutle Lake School District K-12 and was a four sport athlete all through high school. After high school she moved to Pullman, WA to attend Washington State University. At WSU, she was part of the cross-country and track team and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Material Science and Math. After college, Kelli moved to Seattle where she worked for Kenworth Truck Co. for about 7 years as a senior design engineer. In search of a new challenge, she moved to Philadelphia for a couple years to serve in the role of district sales manager. While traveling for work in this position Kelli fell in love with Sandpoint and moved here shortly after in 2013 and started working for Volvo as their Fleet Sales Manager for the West Coast. Kelli had her first son, Caleb, in 2015. Caleb was born prematurely at 31 weeks with a rare genetic micro-deletion. When she was pregnant with her second son, Owen, she decided it was time to quit traveling for work and focus on their lives in Sandpoint. In Sandpoint, Kelli owns and manages rental properties, owns Unique Fitness and is the founder of UCAN, a facility that provides opportunities to Sandpoint’s special needs community to learn about fitness and nutrition, inspired by their son Caleb. Kelli has always loved and valued small town public education, but her interest in our schools has deepened greatly now that her sons are beginning their journey as students here in Sandpoint. With Caleb being a part of the special needs classes, Kelli wants to be as involved as she can. She wants to make sure Caleb and his peers are seen, understood, and given every chance to succeed.
For fun, I love spending time with my sons Caleb and Owen being on our boat in the summer time, skiing in winter, traveling and just being outside and together.
