Chris grew up in Bonners Ferry, ID where he graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1999. After high school Chris attended the University of Idaho where he received a B.S. Degree in Marketing. Post-graduation from college Chris moved to Sandpoint where he worked at Coldwater Creek for four years before moving to Seattle to take on a position at a Marketing Agency. After six years in Seattle, Chris and his wife, Tennille, were looking to start a family. With a desire to raise their children in a small town, they found themselves back in Sandpoint. Over the past 15 years, Chris has held a number of leadership roles in the Marketing field,and is currently running Client Success for a company called Digital Turbine.
Growing up in rural north Idaho, Chris knows first-hand the challenges that come with funding and maintaining quality schools in the state of Idaho. With two young children about to enter the Lake Pend Oreille School system, Chris is passionate about ensuring his kids receive a quality education and are instilled with an attitude of being life-long learners. Chris is currently involved in Idaho Business for Education (IBE), a group of nearly 200 business leaders from across the state who are committed to transforming Idaho’s education system. Chris sits on IBE’s membership committee where he actively seeks to drive awareness to the importance of having strong schools in our state in order to not only attract and retain a strong workforce, but also cultivate a qualified workforce for the future.
