Erin Roos was raised in Sandpoint and has greatly benefited from her public education and the strong community support. After attending LPOSD schools K-12 and graduating from SHS in 1993, she accepted a full ride athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan. Erin graduated from UM in 1998 with a BS in Exercise Science. She returned home, began work as a physical therapy aide, massage therapist and volleyball coach. Through coaching, she discovered her passion for working with teens and consequently pursued her education certification from the University of Idaho. In 2000, she began teaching Life Science at the Sandpoint Middle School. Erin took a six-year break from teaching to be a stay at home mom and returned to SHS in 2010 to teach life skills and mentoring classes. In 2014, she took on the role of head coach for the SHS volleyball program. Erin and her husband Mike have their three fourth-generation boys in LPOSD schools. When they are not in a gymnasium or on a ball field, they enjoy spending time on the lake or in the mountains. Erin recognizes the value of investing time, energy and love into our future leaders and community members and is excited to be part of the PAFE board.
