Born in 1967 in Bahrain, Geraldine lived overseas with her family until 1977, most of that time in Sumatra, Indonesia. The family then settled in Denver, Colorado for her middle and high school years. Geraldine attended Gonzaga University where she received a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering in 1989 and met her future husband, Jim. Geraldine became involved in the community as a member of the Panida Board from 1995 – 1997. She began volunteering at Sagle Elementary School in the classroom and on their PTA when her four children started school, continuing her work through SMS and SHS as they grew. She worked as an engineer at Encoder for one year, and is now spending her workdays at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church as the business manager and bookkeeper. Geraldine joined PAFE in 2008 as Event Coordinator for several years before joining the Board of Directors. She credits the years working at PAFE as a major catalyst in her interest in education and community involvement. She also serves as School Board Trustee for the Lake Pend Oreille School District.
