Barbara Eacret spent 40 years with United Airlines as a Flight Attendant and management until her retirement in 2001. In 2002 Barbara and Dave moved to Sandpoint and built their home on property they had bought in 1979. She had always emphasized the importance of education with their two children and was actively involved in their schools. Upon arriving in Sandpoint, she planned to integrate herself quickly. She became part of the PAFE team in its infancy, assuming a volunteer administrative role in support of the board. She joined the PAFE board a few years later and served for 6 years. She has been an active volunteer in the Sandpoint community. She served on the Board of Community Assistance League for many years, as well as its president from 2010-2012, worked with American Cancer Society forming Relay for Life in Sandpoint, and has been with the Women Honoring Women Committee since 2012. Barbara continues to advocate for the children of our community and for our educational system that supports them. She and her husband Dave have two children and 5 grandchildren.
