Abbey is a licensed psychotherapist and private practice owner. She was born and raised in the Midwest and graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with her undergraduate degree in Biology, Theology and Spanish in 2011. She moved to Denver to conduct medical research and then to Costa Rica to provide clinical care for underserved communities. Upon returning, she enrolled in medical school until realizing she wanted to work at a psychological level with her patients. She earned her Master’s degree from Colorado Christian University and worked in multiple community health settings before opening her Telehealth private practice in 2020.
Abbey and her family feel like they found “home” in Sandpoint and can often be found spending time together in the mountains or on the lake. She is eager to serve her local community and feels especially connected to PAFE, having witnessed the difference the organization’s efforts make in her children’s lives who attend Lake Pend Oreille School District.
