Karl was born in Lewiston, Idaho, and raised in Grangeville, Elk City and Plummer, Idaho, and Latah, Washington. Upon graduation from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in communications, he embarked on a career in sales, marketing and management, living in Idaho, Alaska, Florida, Washington and Illinois. Dye was able to fulfill his lifelong goal of having a job and living in Bonner County when he joined Litehouse Incorporated as a sales and marketing manager in 2002. He then served as a Bonner County Commissioner, and, in 2007, transitioned to his current position as the executive director of Bonner County Economic Development Corporation.
He lives in Sandpoint with his wife, Tiffany, a Sandpoint native. They are the proud parents of Hattie Jane and Henry, who both attend Farmin Stidwell Elementary School in Sandpoint. “Serving on the Panhandle Alliance board is an incredible opportunity to give back to the community that means so much to all of us,” said Karl. “The alliance’s history of focused fundraising and grant making has helped place Lake Pend Oreille School District at the top of the class in our state.”Follow us on your favorite channel
