Panhandle Alliance for Education: Citizens, businesses and educators building an independent, community-based foundation for public schools. Our mission is to promote excellence in education and broad-based community support for the Lake Pend Oreille School District. As an independent organization, we will create and sustain an endowment to provide resources in support of effective teaching, learning and school management.

Teacher Grants

Teacher Grants

Panhandle Alliance for Education’s signature program, Teacher Grants are awarded annually to teachers and principals who seek support for educational projects, supplies or equipment not otherwise funded. Grant requests are judged for innovation, creativity, collaboration and impact on student learning. RESULTS: Since 2003, 388 grants have been awarded, totaling a direct investment in our classrooms of more than $1 million.
